Mark become a Driving Instructor because of his previous careers.
He spent 22 years in the Army predominately with horses where he had instructed in various subjects, both skill and theory based. When he retired from the Army he moved into sales and ended up driving 50K+ miles a year in countries all across Europe.
When he was driving a lot of miles he decided to take his IAM Advanced Driving Course and it was here that he gained a passion for road safety achieving a “First” (the highest pass level possible).
At this point he had set himself on a course that he did not know was going to influence his future career just a few years down the line.
In 2017 Mark decided to move out of sales and work for himself. It was then that he retrained and qualified at the end of 2018 as an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI).
When not teaching Mark enjoys cycling, mountain biking over the South Downs or on the road. He has a passion for all things country, he enjoys nothing more than walking in order to spot the wonderful wildlife we have in this country and enjoying the breath-taking views…although most of the wildlife seems to come to his garden for a free feast on his vegetables!!
